The West Elkton Community Action Revitalization Effort (W.E.C.A.R.E.) has some ambitious plans for the town of West Elkton and the surrounding communities for the upcoming year!
We've been formulating plans for a list of future projects to help revitalize and improve our town, while helping the residents of West Elkton connect with each other and enjoy the new amenities.
A Playground for Our Children
The Village Council of West Elkton has received a grant to build a children playground in the Spring of 2026. W.E.C.A.R.E will help support this important project any way we can.
In addition, we have plans to enhance the entire experience by adding restrooms, a splash pad and free wi-fi access in the immediate area around the park, creating an area all of the citizens of West Elkton can visit and enjoy, regardless of age.
Creating this dedicated space promotes not only physical health but also social interaction between children and their families, guardians and friends.
Your support can ensure that every child in West Elkton has a safe and fun place to grow, families can meet and adults can enjoy themselves while their children play!
A Dog Park for Our Furry Friends
Dogs are part of our families, and what better way to celebrate them than with a dedicated dog park? This space will offer a safe environment for dogs to play off-leash and socialize.
A dog park enhances the quality of life for our pets and their owners by providing a safe, enclosed area where dogs can run free.
A Pavilion for Community Gatherings
A strong community thrives on connection, and the proposed park pavilion will serve as a hub for gatherings, events, and celebrations. This multi-purpose structure will be perfect for hosting everything from birthday parties to outdoor concerts. The pavilion will provide a comfortable space for everyone in West Elkton to enjoy.

Disc Golf Course for Recreation
For those seeking a fun way to stay active, a disc golf course will make a fantastic addition to our park. This sport is rapidly gaining popularity, providing a unique way to enjoy nature while getting exercise.
The course will feature a variety of holes catering to all skill levels, winding through the natural landscape. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, the number of disc golf players has increased by over 20% annually in recent years.
