How To Order - What To Expect
Program Rules & Guidelines
Bench Specifications
• Benches are 4-foot Spruce-style benches constructed entirely of recycled plastic, including both the frame and slats.
• Benches feature cedar-colored slats and a black recycled-plastic frame.
• Benches include a mounted, personalized memorial or dedication plaque.
Purchase & Approval
• The standard purchase price is $600, which includes a $100 donation to W.E.C.A.R.E. Pricing is
subject to change prior to final purchase completion.
• All benches must be purchased through W.E.C.A.R.E. No outside benches will be accepted.
• Requests for alternative bench styles must receive prior approval from both the W.E.C.A.R.E.
Steering Committee and the West Elkton Village Council.
Placement
• Benches will be installed in one of two West Elkton community parks or another public area approved by the Village Council.
• Donors may request a preferred location; however, final placement decisions rest solely with the W.E.C.A.R.E. Steering Committee and the Village Council.
Installation & Ownership
• Installation, placement, relocation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of benches and surrounding
areas will be performed at the sole discretion of the W.E.C.A.R.E. Steering Committee and the Village
Council.
• Upon installation, benches become the property of the Village of West Elkton.
Plaque Guidelines
• Plaques may include personalized inscription text subject to approval by W.E.C.A.R.E.
• No specific limits on number of lines or plaque dimensions are defined; inscriptions must conform to the manufacturer’s standard layout and production capabilities.
