This year, W.E.C.A.R.E. invites everyone to join our Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (rain date May 16). It’s a chance to come together, roll up our sleeves, and make a visible difference in our town.

Whether you can come for the entire day or for just a few hours, your help will brighten West Elkton for the months ahead.

Our community thrives when residents take pride in their environment. Over time, public spaces can accumulate litter, overgrown plants, and wear that dulls their charm. Spring Clean-Up Day offers a focused effort to tackle these issues before summer arrives. • Donate tools or supplies

If you have gardening gloves, rakes, shovels, paintbrushes, or other tools, consider lending them for the day.

• Contribute flowers, plants, or paint

Adding color with flowers or fresh paint helps transform public areas. Donations of these items are greatly appreciated.

• Support with funding

Monetary donations help purchase supplies and cover costs for the event. Every dollar supports a cleaner, brighter West Elkton.

What to Expect

The clean-up will take place throughout West Elkton Village, starting at 9:00 AM and wrapping up by 4:00 PM. Volunteers will gather at a central meeting point to receive assignments and supplies.

The event is family-friendly, so bring children along to teach them about community service and environmental care. Remember to wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes.

If the weather does not cooperate, the rain date is set for Saturday, May 16, 2026.
